Mabel’s book dealt with the various school districts
of Madison prior to 1922 when all schools except Rockland were consolidated.
This map showing the school districts was painted by Deborah Heller, a fifth grade student,
in 1959 under the supervision of her art teacher, Evelyn Horchner.
