Reached Camp Rich about 3 P.M. Met the Taylors, pitched our tents on their land
beside Lake Champlain, took a nap and then went bathing in the roaring waves of the
lake. The bottom was pretty stoney. In the evening we all went up to Taylors and sat by
their warm fireplace arrayed once more in civilized clothes.
