| 218.01.b.fl.15.jpg The Nortontown District School, or, as it was also called, the Northwest District School stood on Nortontown Road north of Green Hill Road. The building still exists and is a private home. District schools were built by the residents of each district and supported by them. They hired the teacher who "boarded 'round" staying each family with children in school. Two terms of school were held - winter and spring. |
