| The Erastus Clark Scranton Library. His daughter arranged to the library built and in 1900 presented it to the town in her father's memory. This early image shows no busts of Dante and Shakespeare flanking the entrance. The building behind the library on the left was moved back from the street and still exists. The the far right the stone drinking trough is visible. The stone trough can still be seen behind the Madison Historical Society. |
