228.45.a.jpg     The tall building on the left is the Monroe Building built in 1910. Next is the Madison Photo Centre, the General Store, Nick's Restaurant, and Jolly's Drug Store. The 1986 fire caused considerable damage in this area. Nick's and the General Store are now occupied by R. J. Booksellers.  Jolly's was completely rebuilt after the fire and is still Jolly's Drug Store. This section represents unplanned, catastrophic change due to fire. Directly opposite, the 2002 Building represents carefully planned change.
