173.08d.a     The green was set aside by the first settlers of East Guilford as place for public use. Since that time the green has been used for many things: a training ground for soldiers, a Fairground, a playing field for tennis, baseball and other sports, and antique shows. This photo shows participants in the annual Future Farmers of America Agricultural Fair held for many years until the 1950s.
