Digital Madison is a series of photo galleries illustrating changes in Madison that began in the late19th century and the early to middle 20th century. The images have been selected to address issues related to planning, growth and development and historic preservation.

     Each image is identified by a code number (e.g. 397.14.a) that identifies its location and a text caption. Two versions of each image are displayed - a thumbnail that is linked to a larger image and a larger image that may be downloaded for educational purposes only and may not be published without permission.
